Confirm the two-lobe seal aligns with both openings and the perimeter gasket sits evenly. The closed cover reduces open flow paths but does not make the lid leak-proof. Remove the grip band, cover seal, and gasket for cleaning; clear both channels and dry the waist before reinstalling the band. Wash and dry every component before first use. Inspect the stainless body, rim, vacuum base, lid, hinge pin, cap tab, drinking and vent openings, carry bail or grip part, and every seal before each use.
