Remove the base boot, perimeter gasket, and hatch seal for cleaning; do not pry the hinge pin with tools. Wash and dry every component before first use. Inspect the stainless body, rim, vacuum base, lid, hinge pin, cap tab, drinking and vent openings, carry bail or grip part, and every seal before each use. Do not use a vessel with a damaged rim, unstable dent, loose hinge, cracked lid, torn gasket, open vacuum base, or trapped liquid between walls.
